The arch is bad for your back… BUSTED

The human body has the flexibility in the spine to do this, this is perfectly acceptable range and since there is no axial load it is safe to perform

Benching is bad for your shoulders… BUSTED

Bad benching is bad for your shoulders. If you position yourself in a good position and load the appropriate muscle groups such as the lats, you should be able to bench frequently for a long time with no issues to speak of. Wear and tear of just hard competition training is the only exception

Benching is not a lower body lift… BUSTED

If you adopt this thinking then you are leaving a terrible amount on the table. Your legs are stronger than your arms will ever be so you might as well use them!
