5 SEC TOP END HOLDS
A lot of times lifters descend into their bench without gaining full control of the bar. They drop immediately upon takeout and the bar is still carrying momentum
This often results in a poor touch point and an inefficient bench. Not only that but a lack in control over the bar will severely drop your max potential!
I like to reinforce letting the bar settle and creating tightness by using 5 Sec Top End holds. By holding the bar statically and cueing yourself to create as much tightness as possible, you will find you have more control and accuracy when descending
