My take on training your back? As much and as often as you can reasonably RECOVER from

You never hear of anyone with an overdeveloped back. Your Back is a workhouse and plays a huge role in not only benching, but all your lifts

Challenge yourself to get more work in. I like to see athletes train their back in some capacity every single workout. If at first you can’t tolerate much, you will adapt.

Training is all about pushing your recoverable limits. Look at someone performing manual labor all day. They don’t get to take a break when they want. They develop some serious strength!

Why? From pushing their work capacity each day

The next challenge is learning how to actually use it to your advantage.

A big powerful back is never a weakness and will help overcome some of the poor postural positions we put ourselves in on a daily basis.
