SET UP TIP
Using the bar as leverage is just one of the many effective techniques available to you to set yourself into position on Bench. With this strategy you are pushing off the bar to drive your shoulders down towards your butt!
To ensure you don’t travel further out with the bar or lose tension, make sure your hand off person slides the bar to the front of the rack for you before the take out. With this strategy you should feel your chest raised up much higher!
