START THE BAR LOWER THAN THE RACK

What I mean by this is that you should start your downward descent lower than where you originally lock the bar out

This shortens the range of motion and ensures you’re sinking the shoulders down and positioning yourself into your lats

As you take the bar out, focus on almost relaxing your arms in the locked out position and tuning in with your lats. Drive your shoulder blades down towards your hips and feel the bar sink your shoulders deeper into the pad

The end result is the bar actually start lower than where you originally took it out. Make sure this action does not occur through bent elbows!! This will place tension where we don’t want it. It’s all in the lats, It’s all in the lats (chubs voice from happy gilmore)
