This is a new technique exercise I’ve been playing with. I see a lot of lifters benching with “loose shoulders” for lack of a better term. Well if band’s work for hip abduction in the squat, I can see them working to assist lat activation in the Bench

Now in order to prevent the band’s from pulling you out of position you need to use your lats to drive your shoulders down and pull your elbows in to a solid 45 degree alignment from the body

Here we used pro short minis but you can use any band assistance. Just loop around the upright of the Bench and adjust tension accordingly. Remember this is more of a corrective so no need to load this up significantly
