Should You Wear A Belt When You Bench?
It all depends if the belt is going to block your arch or not. A power belt can be quite wide and thick for a bench press. It may offer some additional compression benefits but it will never compare to being able to set the chest high up in a good starting position. Cutting range of motion off your press will be far more valuable
A belt should never sacrifice position. However if you're able to arch in the belt like myself without issue, it will offer additional benefits most likely. It will not be as dramatic as the benefits of a belt on the squat or deadlift
