The hip flexor stretch is a very common stretch that I see performed incorrect most of the time. I have all of my fascial stretch therapy clients performing this stretch for the amazing benefits for relieving tight hips and back pain. When done incorrectly you will not see any of these benefits.
Performing this stretch correctly comes down to a simple rotation of the pelvic girdle. It is explained and demonstrated in the video above. By creating an anterior pelvic tilt you will effectively target the hip flexors to a greater degree.
