Bands are a great training tool! They are inexpensive, super convenient, and can be used in so many ways to help you move better, stay healthier, and become stronger. Many people only utilize bands in one area, whether it be for training purposes or mobility enhancement. The truth is they belong in many different training realms and just limiting yourself to one aspect of band training is holding you back from all the bands have to offer
Does moving efficiently without pain, becoming a healthier individual, and getting stronger at the same time sound great to you? Then get some bands from elitefts.com and read further!
What are some of the great uses of bands??
Bands can be used to enhance your stretching efforts before and after training. It will take your stretching from great to next level. Adding bands around the limb being stretched acts as additional traction to the joint. Meaning it will create room in the joint capsule for your bones to articulate and further increase the range of motion of your stretches.
Not only that but freeing up those tight nasty joint capsules will prove incredibly beneficial to your movement. Joint capsules account for the majority of tightness in the human body and cannot effectively be worked on with self stretches alone. Bands aid in the process of freeing up locked up joints and restoring range of motion to your movement

Additional Assistance To Exercises
Can't do a pull up yet? Don't worry, I struggle myself weighing 230 lbs. BUT, add bands to the equation and you can finally do pull ups! Attach a band to your pull up bar and put your knee in the band and it will provide additional assistance to raise yourself up with good form
That is the beauty of the bands, they will assist in exercises that you may otherwise be unable to do yet due to current strength levels. As you get stronger you can eventually eliminate the band assistance
Can't do many push ups yet? No worries! Attach a band from above and position over your waist and watch you rep out smooth push ups like a pro. You get the idea
Studies have shown how attaching bands to exercises such as the bench press can increase force and power output. Without bands your body has built in mechanisms to help decelerate the bar before you blast through end range too quickly and injure yourself.
To bypass these mechanisms the bands provide additional resistance at the end range of an exercise where your leverages are most favorable and keep you generating force the entire time. It works great!

Perhaps in actually one of the most under utilized fashions, bands can also be used as a training implement themselves. You'd be amazed at how many people skip over bands when picking their training implements!
Especially while traveling you can get in an amazing workout simply using bands. Just think of all the different exercises you can use bands for, standing overhead press, lying floor press, standing chest press, bicep curls, tricep overhead extensions, lat pulldowns, the list goes on and on! Pretty much anything you can do with a pair of dumbbells you can use a band for. Plus exercises you might never think of in which you couldn't use free weights such as hip abduction and adduction
If you don't already have enough new uses for your bands, heres more! Bands can be used to correct movement (aka corrective exercises). One of my favorite ways to utilize bands in this fashion is through a wall adduction exercises in which the bands assist me in opening my hips up to squat and deadlift better
Bands can also assist greatly in the learning of the hip hinge pattern which is essential not only to lifting but also daily movement. By placing a band around your waist you get the "feel" of how the hip hinge pattern is supposed to go. The band assists in you feeling your hips dropping back instead of you squatting down, the bands essentially pull your hips back into position
So there you have it! Plenty of new ways in which to utilize your bands in training. If you don't have bands then buy some! One of the best training investments you can make. They are relatively cheap and Elite FTS often has great sales on them so check in on them
